Erika Bateman, a financial services professional since 2002, started her career with Fifth Third Bank. She then spent 10 years in financial planning with Fidelity Investments, providing clients with comprehensive wealth planning. She enjoys many aspects of her job, but is passionate about charitable planning and the impact it can have when there’s a well executed gifting strategy.
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Erika received her BA from the University of South Carolina. In her free time, she loves concerts, sporting events, and spending time with her husband and two children. She’s also a committed Cincinnati Bengals fan!
What do you enjoy most about wealth management?
Helping a client put a financial plan together from top to bottom, and then seeing them through it.
What’s the biggest challenge?
The inability to control a panic-stricken market.
What do you love most about being part of Inspirion?
I love the personal environment we can offer our clients verses big broker dealers. Above all else, it’s refreshing to have the time and freedom to help make impactful changes for our clients.
What qualities of yours make you best suited to what you do?
I’m passionate about sticking to a plan and seeing it through.
What do you love to do outside of work?
Raise my kids, listen to music, throw a football
If you weren’t a financial planner, what would you be?
A lawyer. I love a well-informed debate.
What was the most influential book you’ve read and why?
Exodus by Leon Uris. I love this book because it gives context to the deep-rooted religious struggles in the Middle East.

Running the Chicago Marathon
